One of the benefits of working all over the UK is that I get to work at new venues on a regular basis and Leon & Rachael’s Woodhall Manor Wedding was one such example. I arrived late morning to cover Rachel’s bridal preparations and was also able to get some coverage of Leon and his groomsmen too. As usual I stayed right through to the couple’s first dance.
People had flown in from all over the world and the day had a really nice feel throughout. Couple’s always hope for clear blue skies and sunshine, photographers wish for some cloud cover to soften the light and lower the contrast of the scene, personally I only hope for some cover during the formal photos. On this occasion the couple got their wish and the weather was beautiful, we were though able to grab some passing clouds for the Bride and Groom portraits.
I had a really great time at this wedding and the couple were a joy to work with. As per my recent weddings I shot the Fuji X100 alongside my Nikon D700 and both as expected were just the job, the firmware updates to the X100 have made it more usable and in particular the parallax correction is a welcome update, anyway enough technical talk here are some photos from the day…..
