London Wedding Photographer-Neil Luxford Photography

As a wedding photojournalist to Neil every wedding is about moments, his approach is discreet and focuses on documenting the events from your day as they unfold and to provide you with a wedding album full of genuine moments to treasure. More commonly known as reportage wedding photography Neil's style is photojournalistic however he recognises that most couples still want some formal photos and also wish to have some pictures of them both together as Bride & Groom. Other than these however nothing is staged or posed and Neil will not interfere with your day, he will capture it as it happens and hopefully you will often forget that he is even there. Neil is a member of The Wedding Photojournalist Association, an international organisation consisting of select photographers who are recognised for their skills in the field of Wedding Photojournalism. He is also a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography.

About London Wedding Photographer-Neil Luxford

When will you arrive & leave on the day? This depends on the package that you choose; normally Neil arrives to photograph the bridal preparations before the ceremony and will leave at some point shortly after your first dance(s) this is normally between 7 and 8pm. Will we meet before the wedding? This is not necessary although Neil does meet many of his clients before the big day. However for location or overseas weddings this may not always be possible and if it is inconvenient to meet there are alternatives such as arranging a convenient time to discuss the final arrangements over the phone or via email or post. As Neil’s style is photojournalistic being unable to meet will not have a detrimental impact on your photos. How many formal photographs should I have? As a general rule of thumb Neil recommends no more than 10 formal group photos (this does not include the Bride & Groom portraits). This enables the key groups to be covered and will not compromise Neil’s ability to document your wedding in the photojournalistic style you see in his portfolio. It also means that you are able to spend the precious time immediately after the ceremony enjoying yourself which makes for better candid photos. This varies from wedding to wedding of course, some couples have only a few and some have none at all. These should be confirmed in writing or by email before the day and are normally agreed in any pre-wedding discussions. Will you visit the venue before the wedding? Yes – Neil will always visit venues he has not photographed before prior to the wedding. It may not always be practical to visit a location or overseas venue in advance and in this event he will view the venue on the day before or morning of the ceremony. When will my photos be ready? Your photos will usually be viewable online within 3 weeks and you will be sent a password to a private gallery which you are free to share with anybody that you want. If you are having an album you can expect delivery within approximately 4-6 weeks of agreeing your album design, if your package includes digital files on disk these will be delivered along with your album. Colour vs Black & White Neil loves black and white imagery and it suits his style of photography perfectly. Having said this he appreciates that people do want some colour images and you can expect that around 30-50% of your photos will be presented in colour. Albums Your choice of flush mount, digital, pagemount or overlay from the finest manufacturers in the world. You choose the photos, you approve the design, it is after all your album. Don’t want an album? For customers who like Neil's work but do not want an album, options including your photographs supplied on disk or as prints are available. Please ask for further details. What areas do you cover? Neil shoots the majority of his weddings in the South of England and regularly works in Kent, London, Sussex, Surrey & Hampshire. He does however photograph weddings throughout the UK and will all consider location weddings upon request. Do I have to provide food? This is up to you; food is never expected or asked for but is always appreciated. Neil normally does not photograph while people are eating.
